Relay for Life

Gamma Rho is participating in Relay for Life with the Theta Omicron chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia this year! It will take place April 16-17, and we will have a music-themed tent during the event. We are currently raising money online, via the UTK Relay for Life website. A link to it will be posted soon. Please support the American Cancer Society by donating for this worthy cause!

Elections for 2010-2011

On February 21, we voted on and elected the new officers for the 2010-2011 school year. They will not take up their duties until May 2, the last meeting of the semester. Next year's exec. board is as follows: President, Cheri Elkins; VP Membership, Emily Wuchner; VP Ritual, Anna Campbell; Recording Secretary, Victoria Wheeler; Corresponding Secretary, Jacki Webb; Treasurer, Amanda Tittle; Sgt. at Arms, Bethany Maples; Editor, Yasameen Hoffman-Shahin. Congrats to these awesome ladies!

Gamma Rho & KAP Turn 50!

The date for the 50th anniversary event has been set. It will be held on UTK campus on May 1, 2010, in the University Center Ballroom on UT campus. It will be catered by UT Catering Services. Fran Cartier Creasy has agreed to be our keynote speaker. Gamma Rho and KAP will perform "All Things Bright and Beautiful," arranged by Betty Bertaux (a GR charter member), and we will hold a 50 year member ceremony for all charter members of GR and KAP in attendance. We will also be holding rededication ceremonies for GR and KAP. There will be a museum area set up with artifacts from both GR and KAP. Lunch will be provided after all the activities and the day will be closed out by a fraternity sing-a-long around the piano. So mark your calendars and keep checking back here for updates!
